What Freedom Coaching Actually Looks Like (And Who It’s For)
Oct 01, 2025
Have You Ever Tried to Fix Yourself?
You set goals, make plans, and push harder. You buy the books, take the courses, maybe even hire a life coach. For a while, it works. Until the cracks reappear. The old wounds whisper again. The shame resurfaces. The anger flares. The emptiness lingers.
And you realize—this isn’t about habits, checklists, or surface change. This is about the broken places no one else can see. That’s where Freedom Coaching comes in.
I’m not just a “life coach near me” or another online life coach offering productivity tips. I’m a Freedom Coach—and that’s different. Because I know what it’s like to live in chains. I know what it’s like to look whole on the outside while bleeding on the inside. And I know what it’s like to meet Jesus in the ashes and discover that the very places I thought disqualified me were the places He wanted to begin healing.
My Story of Brokenness and Rescue
For years, I chased success, significance, and answers. I tried to wrestle life into submission, even as my story was marked by loss, rebellion, divorce, financial collapse, and the heartache of raising two sons with cerebral palsy who depended on me for everything.
When God stayed silent to my cries, I misjudged Him. I accused Him. For twelve years, I threw my own spiritual temper tantrum and ran from the only One who could heal me.
But God didn’t give up.
When I finally surrendered, I discovered the truth: God wasn’t punishing me. He was rescuing me. He was breaking me open, not to destroy me, but to free me. That surrender became the foundation of my calling as a Christian life coach and spiritual life coach.
Why “Freedom” and Not Just “Life”?
The world offers many ways to improve your life: self-help books, podcasts, mastermind groups, or traditional life coaching. And while those tools can be helpful, they can’t reach the deepest wounds.
-
A life coach can help you set goals, but they can’t heal your shame.
-
A course can teach you discipline, but it can’t untangle your trauma.
-
A podcast can motivate you, but it can’t restore your soul.
Because the issue isn’t just behavior—it’s brokenness. And only Jesus heals brokenness.
That’s why I call myself a Freedom Coach. Because freedom doesn’t come from trying harder, doing better, or faking stronger. Freedom comes from Jesus Christ. He is the only One who can unlock the chains, heal the wounds, and restore the story you thought was beyond repair.
The Process of Freedom: Healing MY Story
Every journey of Freedom Coaching follows the same sacred framework—a process I call Healing MY Story.
Why “MY”? Because no one else can walk your healing for you. I can guide you, encourage you, and provide prayer support, but the work of facing your story belongs to you.
1. Face Brokenness Honestly
You can’t heal what you won’t face. Too many of us bury pain, deny wounds, or cover scars with busyness, substances, or performance. But pretending doesn’t work. Healing begins with honesty.
2. Cover the Story with Forgiveness
Unforgiveness keeps you chained to pain. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse evil—it releases the debt into God’s hands. Dropping bitterness is the first step toward freedom.
3. Reclaim the Story with Gratitude
Gratitude doesn’t erase grief, but it reframes it. When you thank God even in ashes, you reclaim your story and open the door for joy.
4. Stand in Your Identity in Christ
You’re not defined by your past, wounds, or failures. You’re defined by who God says you are: chosen, forgiven, and free. This is the heart of freedom and personal growth.
Who Freedom Coaching Is For
So who is Freedom Coaching for?
-
The one carrying a secret wound no one knows about.
-
The one who can’t let go of bitterness.
-
The one who has prayed a thousand prayers but still feels numb.
-
The one tired of pretending and ready to get real.
Freedom Coaching is for anyone who is broken—and that’s all of us.
Some people come seeking a relationship coach to heal trust issues. Others need a mindset coach to overcome limiting beliefs, a confidence coach to rebuild self-esteem, or a purpose and clarity coach to rediscover calling. Others may search for a personal development coach or even a stress management coach to cope with anxiety.
The truth? Every one of these needs is tied to deeper healing. And Freedom Coaching meets you at the intersection of faith and purpose.
What Healing Actually Looks Like
Healing isn’t instant, neat, or linear. Some days you’ll feel like you’re soaring; other days, like you’ve stumbled back to square one. That’s normal. Healing is a journey, not a destination.
Every tear, every act of forgiveness, every step of goal setting, every whisper of gratitude, and every choice to embrace spiritual practices like prayer and journaling—counts as part of your healing journey.
And the greater promise? Jesus walks it with you. Through inner healing resources, trauma-informed ministry, and freedom coaching, you’re never walking alone.
Why I Became a Freedom Coach
I became a Freedom Coach because I know the cost of staying stuck. I know the despair of trying to fix myself, the emptiness of chasing everything but Him. And I know the miracle of surrender.
I coach because I believe no one is too far gone. No wound is too deep. No story is too broken. And yes—even if you’ve googled life coach near me or wondered about life coach cost—the real answer is not just in hiring a coach, but in finding freedom in Christ.
Wanting What God Wants
At the end of the day, Freedom Coaching isn’t about me. It’s not about programs. It’s about Jesus. What God wants for you is what I want too: a strong, close, deep, personal, passionate relationship with Him.
If you’re weary of surface fixes, if you’re tired of pretending, if you’re ready to face your story and invite Jesus into it—then Freedom Coaching is for you.
Don’t let shame disqualify you. Don’t let fear keep you chained one more day. There is freedom for you. There is healing for you. There is hope for you.
